‘The Gilded Age’ Season 2 Full Episode Release Schedule

Isabella CoxNovember 13, 2023

The Gilded Age has been a breakout hit since the first season dropped in 2022. The series, which is set during the 1880s and 1890s (a.k.a. the Gilded Age) in New York City, tells the story of a young woman named Marian Brook who moves in with her old-money aunts in upper Manhattan.

Marian gets a quick lesson on what is—and definitely is not—considered acceptable in the elite Manhattan social circles as her story begins to intertwine with other characters in her new, upper-crust world.

Now, season 2 is finally here, bringing everyone back into the world of corsets, top hats, and luncheon gossip once again. So far, Max has dropped just one episode from season 2, leaving fans wondering when they can settle back on the couch to see what happens next. Here’s what you need to know:

Where can I watch The Gilded Age season 2?

Sports

There are a few spots you can catch Marian navigate her way through social slights and dapper young beaux. Episodes originally air on Max (formerly HBO Max), but they’re also available on other streaming sites like Prime Video and Hulu.

Subscription plans on Max start at $9.99 per month. A Hulu subscription starts at $7.99 per month (with a free week at the beginning). Prime Video costs $14.99 per month, but there are also student plans available.

What has happened so far?

Season 2 just got started, but a few things have already gone down. The season kicked off in 1883, with Bertha Russell, who comes from a “new money” family, finding out that she can’t get a box at the Academy of Music. But Bertha is determined to climb the ladder in society, and she decides to back the new Metropolitan Opera House instead. Agnes reveals that her nephew Dashiell is coming to New York, Peggy mourns he lost son’s death, Marian finds out her former lover is getting married, and… There’s a lot more coming down the pipeline.

Max offers these (admittedly) barebones season spoilers online: “In Season 2 of The Gilded Age, Bertha inches toward a leading role in society, Marian starts teaching, Ada begins a new courtship, and Peggy taps into her activist spirit.”

Is it Sunday yet?
